Growth Challenge: Reset Your Mission: 3 Day Blog Challenge

Part 1

One of the challenges, I see with emerging moguls - typically in business for 3+ years, is that although they may have seen some notable success in their business and have clients who love working with them, they start to feel that something is out of sync.

If this is you, you’ll often feel like you took all the steps to get visible and create a viable brand, but now you find yourself feeling out of alignment and you are not sure why.

However, you know that if this misalignment continues, it will could impede your progress towards your goal of business mastery and personal fulfillment. You may even be questioning if you will ever be a contending authority or well-known expert in your area of expertise or niche.

I have been in this position before, and I know it can feel like you are pushing against a wall that isn’t going anywhere although you seem to have all the tools to move it out of your way. And you’ve worked hard to get to that part of your journey… but still it can feel like a standstill, frustrating and disappointing.

With these next three challenge blogs I want you to take action and get clarity by working on some self-discovery exercises. No one knows your personal frustration points or can point you to the direction of your truest answers faster than you, when you allow the awareness.

Coaches and consultants can bring you an outside perspective to help you see your blind spots and provide you with new tools and expertise to move your business to the next level. However, all the answers about what you truly desire and what is not working exist within you.

My recommendation is for you to reset and realign with your mission so that you can operate in more alignment with your own unique design.

That is the focus of Part 1 of this blog challenge. Let’s get started!

Challenge Part 1:
Get a pen and a sheet of paper. Take 3–6 deep breaths focusing on relaxing your entire body. You can also put your hand over your heart to deepen the connection with that center. Once you feel connected to your heart, complete the activity:

1. Make a list of the top two to three priorities for your business right now. List what comes to mind and resonates with you, don’t over think it. What do you want to be known for? What is the one thing that you want to impact, change or eliminate in the world? Write it down.

2. Identify the top three accomplishments, personal attributes or values that make you qualified and fully equipped to carry out this mission. In other words, what gives you credibility and authority in the area of your personal mission?

3. How does your big vision align with your expertise and personal mission? Are they exactly aligned? If not, how can you ensure you are operating in a way that better aligns with who you are, how you serve and who you service?

The truth is, if you are in the right business, but you are still feeling out of alignment, you may need to check how you are doing business, who you are working with, your service offerings, and how you deliver them. Look for areas of misalignment across the people you work with, the processes you have in place and ensure the products you offer are in alignment with how you want to serve and what your clients actually want.

This is a simple yet very effective exercise to help you identify where you can make needed changes, where you might need help and how you would like to get into alignment and flourish in your business again.

What new insight did you gain from this exercised? Is there one area that stood out for you? What steps can you take next?

I want to hear from you. Send me a message on Instagram and let me know.

In Part 1 of this challenge, I asked you to identify how your big vision aligns with your expertise and driving mission.

Now that you know your mission and your leverage points of people, process and products, you have a solid starting point for clarifying and resetting your mission in your business.

During the part 1 exercise, you may have found that some doubts or resistance came up for you with naming and owning your Big Vision and Mission and what qualifies you to carry it out.

It can be normal to have these thoughts and fears. You can still take action and move yourself forward.

The truth is your mission and purpose is related to service for others and has nothing to do with you and these resistances.

The key is to continually bring awareness to how you are feeling and what is no longer working for you and change those things.

In Part 2 of this challenge, I’d like for you to bring awareness to the resistances that could be holding you back or limiting you in some way as you seek to fulfill your mission to serve.

Challenge Part 2:

This is a continuation of the Part 1 exercise, I suggest using the same paper or notebook.

Take 3–6 deep breaths focusing on relaxing your entire body. You can also put your hand over your heart to deepen the connection with your heart center. Once you feel connected to your heart, complete the activity by coming up with as many responses as you can to complete the sentences below.

Referencing the list of your mission and leverage points from yesterday. Complete the following sentences.

1. When I think about my desires and the steps I am currently taking or planning to take in my business, I feel _________________

2. The primary areas that I may be holding myself back from stepping into power are ________________________

3. The primary shifts I can take to remove this obstacle to step into my powerful mission is _______________________

4. When I think about my business and the alignment between what I do, who I serve and how I deliver it, the part that feels out of alignment is___________________________

Truly tapping into where you are emotionally and what you can do next can have profound impact.

Here is your Mogul thought: “I can overcome all obstacles through the divine power within me that naturally aligns me with my passion, purpose and mission.”

Come back to complete the final installment of Resetting Your Mission Part 3 of 3!

In today’s challenge blog we will continue the process of resetting your mission.

To recap, resetting you mission is about finding realignment by creating a business that is aligned with your vision, mission, talents and how you want to show up in the world. Then, making sure your business strategy and key aspects such as product, price and the people you serve and work with are in alignment.

In Part 2 we incorporated the thought that “I can overcome all obstacles through the divine power within me that naturally aligns me with my passion, purpose and mission.”

We also recognized the resistances that could be keeping you in a state of misalignment with what you truly want, or from taking consistent action to achieve your desired outcome. Let’s bring more awareness to that resistance and determine the best way to dissolve it.

Here is a fact, alignment and balance is a continuous process, just try standing on one leg for a minute to test this idea. If you ever did a yoga class you already know it’s true. Sometimes it’s a major shift that is needed and other times its a micro-adjustments, sometimes you’ll make a tweak and fall right over. Have you been there? The key to staying in business alignment is to be self-aware and consistently taking actions to tweak, fix, start over, and reintegrate your new learning until you build a solid foundation and create the leverage to ramp, scale and lead in a way that you love.

In this final part of our challenge. I want to help you with bringing it all together so you can take action steps to reset how you are operating in your business.

Challenge Activity Part 3:

Set the scene for yourself. Take 3–6 deep breaths with your hand over your heart center once you have connected with your divine spirit. Then take a few minutes to complete the chart below:
